Community Principles
We are a community of friendly, helpful neighbors that work together to enjoy the natural beauty of our community, lake and surrounding areas.
Here we document the principles that we have observed as key to keeping our community healthy and vibrant:
- Respect each other: We are a tolerant community that shows respect for one other, even when we may disagree with each other
- Community Participation and Ownership: We encourage active involvement from all members, reducing our overall expenses
- Conflict Resolution and Compromise: We encourage members to resolve conflicts amicably and directly with each other
- Community-Building Activities: We encourage members to organize events and initiatives that bring neighbors together, strengthening bonds and fostering a supportive environment.
Generally speaking, we prefer to have minimal board oversight with members taking responsibility and ownership for most activities. The board in turn focuses on only a small set of well defined initiatives:
- Roads
- Water
- Docks
- Special Projects
- Administration
